Luster and Dust
Luster and Dust combines documentary and constructed photography to highlight the human fascination and curiosity with cultivating nature. These images quietly celebrate tasks that are dirty and labor-intensive, blurring the lines between sacred artifacts, natural history, and a typical backyard garden. And just as the content of the photographs exhibits the evidence of the human hand, the decision to hand-color many of the images imparts another act of handiwork to the viewer. |
