Kristen Spickard is an artist and graphic designer living and working in Conway, Arkansas.

Her work explores ideas about DIY culture and our relationship to the natural world. In 2019, she was selected Best of Show in the fourth annual Neighbors Art Show in Conway.

Spickard has been dedicated to furthering the arts in Conway by volunteering with Conway ArtsFest since 2016, serving as co-chair of the festival in 2019 and 2020. She has served on the Conway Alliance for the Arts board of directors since 2018.

Along with Lesley Graybeal, Spickard is the co-creator of The CitiZINE Project. This zinemaking initiative, established in 2016 in the Division of Outreach and Community Engagement at the University of Central Arkansas, uses zine education throughout campus and the community to promote creative expression regarding topics of civic engagement such as citizenship, community, and voting rights. In 2020, The CitiZINE Project was invited to be part of the Suffrage Centennial Celebration hosted by the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Kristen Spickard holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Master of Fine Arts in art from The Ohio State University. She has worked at the University of Central Arkansas since 2015 and is a graphic designer in the University Marketing and Communications department, where she serves as art director for UCA Magazine.
